Last issue, with a huge list of men stationed there, with addresses...

Item # 695824

June 01, 1942

 MEDICO, Camp Lee, Virginia, June 1, 1942

* Fort Gregg-Adams
* Prince George County
* United States Army

This was a "camp" newspaper as most camps during World War II had their own, crude newspaper meant only for those stationed there, typically created with a typewriter & mimeograph machine, printed on single sheets and stapled together.
Such is the case with this issue, in fact this is the last of this title fore the "First Medical Battalion". It notes on the front page: "Medico, the first newspaper established at Camp Lele, will continue as 'The Champ Pickett Medico' at Blackstone..." which is in Virginia.
A wonderful issue for research purposes as all pages are taken up with lengthy lists of those stationed there, with addresses. The lists are for "First Battalion Officers" and: "Company A", "Company B", "Company C" and "Company D".
Sixteen pages in total, re-stapled, the last two leaves are somewhat worn at the blank margins, otherwise good.
