Complete set of all 21 issues of the 'Liberty Gazette' from "1787"...

Item # 695742

February 25, 1987

LIBERTY GAZETTE, Feb. 25 thru Sept. 22, 1787 (printed in 1987) The bottom of the front page notes: "Published weekly (may-September, 1987) to bring to the public the development of the United Staters Constitution and show American life as it was in 1787". It was done in Farmington, New Mexico.
Offered here is a complete set of all 21 issues created, which includes the Constitution issue (not numbered but is the next-to-last in the set). The last issue is their "Tombstone" as it completed the set.
It appears as though each single sheet was an interior leaf of the "regular" newspaper of the day--200 years later--as it evidenced by what appears on the backside of the leaf.
Included as well is a letter to me from Jan. 12, 1988 from Gary Cook Mahan, the publisher of the set and my attached notation from when I purchased it in early 1988. Very nice condition.

AI notes: The Liberty Gazette is a 21-issue historical reproduction series created in 1987 in Farmington, New Mexico, that mimics 18th-century American newspapers to portray life and political events during the drafting of the U.S. Constitution in 1787. Produced by Gary Cook Mahan and his nonprofit, the Gazette offers fictionalized accounts of the Constitutional Convention and related developments, serving as an educational tool.
