The back page has a nice address: "To Thomas Jefferson, President of the United States" which begins: "Sir--As you are about voluntarily to resign the important helm of the union..." with more on his retirement from the Presidency. This is followed by Jefferson's response, headed: "President's Answer" which is signed in type: Th. Jefferson.
Four pages, wide never-trimmed margins, very nice condition.
