CHICAGO DAILY TRIBUNE, December 9, 1930 

* Notre Dame officially become National Champions 
* Last season before Knute Rockne's death 
* Fighting Irish college football

The front page of the sport's section (page 25) has a one column heading: "IT'S NOTRE DAME HOUR TOMORROW IN CHICAGO LOOP" with subhead and related pictorial. (see) They had just beaten USC. This would also be the last championship for Knute Rockne prior to his death.
Complete with 38 pages, rag edition in nice condition. A few small binding holes along the spine.

wikipedia notes: The 1930 college football season saw Notre Dame repeat as national champion under the Dickinson system, and a post-season Rose Bowl matchup between two unbeaten (9-0-0) teams, Washington State and Alabama, ranked #2 and #3, respectively. Alabama won the Pasadena contest, 24-0.
