Among the front page reports in this newspaper from the capital of the Confederacy: "Gen. Lee's Address To His Soldiers" which is prefaced in part with: "...address of Gen. R. E. Lee to the gallant troops whose patriotic sacrifices have accomplished the salvation of the Confederate capital and inflicted a blow upon the forces of the North which must have a most crushing effect..." and much more.
Also within: "The Bombardment of Vicksburg" "Yankee Accounts of the Affairs At Fredericksburg" "McClellan's Address to His Troops" "The Federal Disaster in Virginia..." "How the Yankees Lie" and the always interesting editorial on the back page.
