Page 5 has an item noting: "Great Britain has now got possession of Cape Breton, the key of North America...it is to be hoped that France will be for ever excluded from that country, and, if they do not very soon make peace, this dispute between Holland and Great Britain..." with more.
Page 6 has half a column headed: "America" concerning the Oneida Indians and a Christian chief who: "...was shot dead, one taken...The captains alarmed went out and found the poor king scalloped & brought him into the fort..." with more on the attack.
Page 7 has a bit noting: "In the expedition to North America, Col. Wolfe is to act as Major-general...letter found on...a French ship...bound from Quebec to France, there is advice that the French abandoned Fort DuQuesne on the 30th of October on account of the great want of provisions occasioned by the loss of Frontenac...".
Eight pages, 8 by 10 3/4 inches, very nice condition.
