THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, March 3, 1772 Page 4 has reports headed: "America" from Charleston which include: "...that the Hon. John Stuart, Superintendent of Indian affairs, had concluded a treaty with the Creek Indians hereby they had ceded to his Majesty a large body of land extending 30 miles up the Coosaw River in addition to the province of West-Florida..." with other items.
