Page 29 contains a few reports concerning the soon-to-be-announced statehood for Israel. A six column heading reads: "Palestine Gangs Trade Opium for Guns, UN Commission Hears" Also a four column heading: "Jews Win First Round of War" with subheads. And a one column heading tells: "Expect Reds to Recognize Jewish State" and that would happen just 3 days later on the 14th when the proclaimed the Israeli Declaration of Independence. This was actually the day before the British mandate would expire.
Complete with 43 pages, rag edition in great condition.
