General Smyth's handbill on recruiting to invade Canada...

Page 2 has: "Interesting Letters - from Maj. General Van Rensselaer...to Brig General Smyth of the troops of the United States. Also a letter from Henry Denison of the U.S. brig Argus concerning a naval encounter. Then a letter to the Secretary of the Navy which includes a handbill from General Smyth concerning efforts "...to proceed to the counties of Ontario, Seneca and Cayuga to bring on such volunteers as will agree t cross the river Niagara into Canada...".
Then: "Naval Rumor" "The Main Army" "Impressment of Seamen" "War Intelligence on the Ocean" and a few other bits.
Four pages, nice condition.
