* Ratifying Abraham Lincoln's nomination for President
The middle of the front page has an historic report headed: "The Republican Nominations" "Letters of Acceptance of Messrs. Lincoln and Hamlin" which is followed by the letter: "To the Hon. Abraham Lincoln of Illinois" which includes: "...representatives of the Republican Party...by an unanimous vote, selected you as the Republican candidate for the office of President of the United States..." with more & ending with the signatures (in type) of the convention members.
This is followed by the historic letter signed in type: Abraham Lincoln, in which he formally accepts the nomination, including: "...I am most happy to cooperate for the practical success of the principles declared by the Convention...".
Also included is the letter of acceptance by his Vice President nominee, signed: H. Hamlin.
The back page has most of the first column taken up with: "Blondin at Niagara" "He Crosses the River Twice on a Tight Rope..." with more.
Eight pages, very nice condition.
