The first column has some nice heads concerning the trial of those involved in the Abraham Lincoln assassination, including: "THE ASSASSINATION" "The Trial on Friday" "The Witnesses Norton & Thomas" "Examination of Dr. Mudd's Sister" "Jeff Davis Acting Like a Madman" "The Evidence Nearly Closed", plus the ftpg. also has some items on the closing battles of the war, including: "From Texas" "Surrender of the Sabine Pass Forts" "Galveston Evacuated on the 24th" "Wholesale Desertion of the Rebel Soldiers" "Brownsville Occupied by Union Forces" and more.
