The front page reports on the end of the Spanish-American War with: "THE PRESIDENT ORDERS HOSTILITIES TO CEASE" "Proclamation Which Means Much to Spain Issued Yesterday Afternoon" "WAR WITH THE DONS PRACTICALLY ENDED" "Spain Agrees to Our Terms For Peace Negotiations" and more.
Included is the full text of the "Proclamation" signed in type: William McKinley. The formality of the treaty would be signed in December, but all fighting ended on August 12.
Presumed complete in 8 pages, rather nice condition.
