January 08, 1900
THE EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Jan. 8, 1900
* Black - bubonic plague
* Hawaiian Islands
* Oahu's Chinatown
The top of the front page has a two column headline: "ALARM AT HONOLULU OVER SPREAD OF PLAGUE" with subheads. (see) Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 8 pages, issue measures 18 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches, a two small library stamps within the masthead, generally very nice.
