Building lots for sale in the new federal capital...

Item # 690283

August 18, 1791

DUNLAP'S AMERICAN DAILY ADVERTISER, Philadelphia, Aug.18, 1791

* Washington D.C. land lots for sale
* Early United States government era

The front page has a nice ad concerning the sale of a "Number of Lots in the Federal City." It mentions that the President approved the: "...Sites for the Public Buildings pursuant to the Act passed by Congress ...for establishing the temporary and permanent Seat of Government...". Included are details about the sale of the lots described as being: "...in the best Situations in the Federal City."
One of the earliest notices for building lots in the future capital, and great to have in a newspaper from what was then the temporary seat of the U.S. government.
Four pages, nice condition.
