Item # 689189 THE LONDON MAGAZINE, England, April, 1749 Perhaps the best feature of this issue is the great title page engraving of the skyline of London from the mid-18th century, with St. Paul's Cathedral dominating.
Also of much interest is the half page map of the: "Islands of Tobago, Barbadoes, etc." with a related article. Also shown are St. Vincent, Granada, a portion of Trinidad & other islands. Also a detailed: "Description of Nova Scotia" (lacking the plate) which takes 2 pages.
Near the back is the "Monthly Chronologer" with the latest news reports & includes over 2 pages on a: "Description of the Machine for the Fire-Works..." and which includes a full page plate.
Complete in 48 pages, disbound, full title/contents page, 5 1/4 by 8 1/4 inches, great condition.
