September 13, 1883
DENVER REPUBLICAN, Colorado, Sept. 13, 1883 A great issue on the early history of Denver as all of the front page and most of page 2 are taken up with a history of the city.
First column heads include: "THE DAYS OF '58" "A Revival of the Pioneer Times of Gold Washing in Cherry Creek" "Our Quarto-Centennial of the Discovery of 'Colors' in Colorado" "How Denver Was Settled & by Whom the Town Was Laid Out" "Fighting Indians, Gambling & Playing Practical Jokes, the Post Times" and more.
Included is a print of: "Denver In '59" with another print on page 2. A wealth of related subheads.
Eight pages, close-trimmed at the bottom does cause loss of text to pages 1 and 2, small binding holes at the blank spine, otherwise good.
