This was an uncommon title which lasted but 4 years. The prospectus (not here) notes it was a semi-weekly devoted to "...the security of the right of suffrage by additional laws to punish bribery & fraud...an exposure of abuses & corruptions in government..." and more.
Amos Kendall was Postmaster General under Andrew Jackson, later publishing this small, bi-weekly newspaper from 1841-1844 He was very pro-democrat and anti-Whig.
All of pages 1, 2 and 3 are taken up wirth reports on trhe inauguration of President William Henry Harrison. TYhe front page is headed: "The Inauguration" and page 2 has: "The Inaugural" which continues on to page 3.
Harrison gave the longest inaugural address in history, so it is not surprising that the report begins: "It was our purpose to lay the Inaugural Address of the news President before our readers; but we are prevented by its great length. The substance of the document, however, can be compressed into a very narrow compass, and is as follows...".
