February 20, 1861

NEW YORK HERALD, Feb. 20, 1861

* President elect Abraham Lincoln
* En route to Washington D.C.
* New York City visit - speeches

Among the first column heads on the ftpg. are: "The Presidential Progress" "The Ovations & Speeches En Route from Albany to New York" "Specimens of Mr. Lincoln's Humor & Statesmanship" "Arrival of the President Elect in the Metropolis" "The Procession from the Depot to the Astor House" "Mr. Lincoln's Speeches from the Balcony and in the Dining Room" and more.
The entire front page is taken up with reports on Abraham Lincoln, which carry over to the back page as well.
Simply a terrific issue on Lincoln from just before his inauguration.
Eight pages, never bound nor trimmed, some loss at the blank right margin not affecting any text, generally very nice condition.
