January 29, 1791

GAZETTE OF THE UNITED STATES, Philadelphia, Jan. 29, 1791  A full front page column covers discussion in the "House of Representatives" concerning the President & Vice President, including: "...duties of the President of the Senate & those of the President of the United States appeared to him incompatible...the office of Secretary of State & the duties of President were analogous..." and more.
Page 2 has a note regarding France mourning the death of Ben Franklin: "...National Assembly decree, that their members shall wear, during three days, mourning for Benjamin Franklin...". Page 3 has a letter from Fayetteville, North Carolina & a letter from Marietta, & yet another letter concerning the Creek Indians. The back page includes nearly a column of current prices for various commodities, plus various ads.
Four pages, excellent condition.
