Page 2 has a lengthy report concerning Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, including: "...powerfully excited by the flight, capture and imprisonment of the ROYAL FAMILY OF FRANCE. A King and Queen fleeing from their throne and seeking an asylum in a foreign land is a most affecting & instructive spectacle!! How vain and uncertain is human grandeur..." with much more.
The back page has a notice from the "War Department" concerning filing for military pensions, signed in type: H. Knox, Secretary of War.
The front page has a notice headed: "LOUISIANA" noting: "Any persons who wish to become settlers in the rich & fertile province of Louisiana..." with more on the benefits of moving there.
Four pages, very nice condition.
