NILES' NATIONAL REGISTER, Baltimore, Jan. 9, 1841 An inside page has reports from Missouri, one of which notes: "The anti-Mormon forces have received in payment for retire services only a hundred thousand dollars or one half range amount appropriated. This was owing to the fact that the money could not be borrowed. The state has got a bad name, says the governor, by reason of the Mormon difficulty; and the governor wishes the evidence in the case published so as to retrieve her reputation..." with more.
Sixteen pages, 8 1/2 by 12 inches very nice, clean condition.
As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
