Deaths of Joseph Haydn and Thomas Paine...

Item # 684914 GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, July, 1809

* Deaths of Joseph Haydn and Thomas Paine

The obituary listing inside includes: "At New York, the notorious Thomas Pain [sic]; whose death is an admonitory event; may the lesson that it inculcates be impressive..." & more. The opposing page has: "In Guppendorff, aged 76, Joseph Haydn, the celebrated composer... justly considered as the Father of Musick in our day...", with a bit more about his career. It is great to have the death reports of two historic figures reported in such a fashion so as to allow them to be displayed simultaneously.
Other reports from throughout the world are also present.
Complete in 90 pages, 5 by 8 inches, full title/contents page with an engraving of St. John's Gate. Nice condition.
