Pages 2 and 3 contain a wealth of reporting on the Revolutionary War including a letter from Charleston noting in part: "The campaign in George and the Southern part of this state between the royal army commanded by Brigadier General Provosts, and ours commanded by ...Major General Lincoln, seems to be opening fast..." with various details. This report takes nearly a full column (about 9 words lost due to a repair).
This is followed by a letter from Georgetown with some war-related activity. Than a report datelined from Williamsburg which notes in part: "...that Mr. Hamilton, the governor of Detroit, came down this spring with a party of regulars, Canadians and savages and retook the posts of St Vincent on the Wawbash..." with good detail.
Then a letter from Boston, followed by a letter from Hartford, than a report from Providence, then one from Fishkill, New York, then from New York City, and then Philadelphia, all with war-related items.
Page 3 features a letter signed in type by: P. Henry, datelined at Williamsburgh, May 27, 1779, concerning the British capturing and burning Portsmouth and Norfolk. It is very difficult to find reports about or signed in type by Patrick Henry from during the war. He was governor of Virginia at the time.
A report from Phila. notes: "...our army, under General Washington, left their winter quarters at Middle-Brook and marched towards West Point...".
A letter from Congress begins: "I beg leave to congratulate you on the success of the American Arms in South Carolina..." with details.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, various light damp stains or foxing. There are archival repairs at the spine which affects some words, not in mentioned text. Another tiny repair does (see above). Irregular at the top margin causes some text loss but not to mentioned reports.
