SEMI-WEEKLY TRIBUNE, New York, Sept. 28, 1850

Page 2 has: "The Late Riot at Sacramento City" which takes close to half a column.
This is followed by a one-third column report: "Massacre of California Emigrants" which includes in part: "...encamped on the eastern bank of Pitt River...about midnight they were awakened by a volley of arrows being fired among them...the morning they found their mules and horses killed...five or six Indians came to them and endeavored by sign and gesture to induce them to leave that place...seized by a large body of savages, stripped of their clothing & butchered in cold blood..." with more.
They were part of the Pitt River Expedition.
Eight pages, stain to an upper corner, very nice condition..
