Harper's Ferry Conspiracy... Prison and hanging of two conspirators...

FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, New York, Dec. 31, 1959  The frontpage has a half page image of two John Brown's Raid (Harper's Ferry) conspirators, the caption which says: "Cook and Coppic escaped from their cell into the prison yard, the night previous to their execution". Additionally, page 6 has two articles: "COOK AND COPPIC ENDEAAVORING TO ESCAPE FROM THE JAIL IN CHARLESTOWN" and "THE JUNERAL OF JOHN E. COOK". Page 4 has the image: "FUNERAL OF THE CONSPIRATOR COOK IN WILLIAMSBURG, TUESDAY, DEC. 20".
Additional period illustrations are found throughout.
Complete in 16 pages.  The lower right corner has a small piece missing from the margin, minor wear w/ even toning, but in overall nice condition. See images for details.
