"MESSAGE SUPPLEMENT" which is a broadsheet (one sheet printed on both sides) containing the text of President U.S. Grant's state-of-the-Union address dated at its conclusion: "Executive Mansion, Dec. 7, 1875".

The front side is fully taken up with the text and first column heads: "THE NATION" "President Grant's Annual Message" "The Centennial of the Republic--Our National Progress" with more. The text carries over to the back page where it is signed in type: U.S. Grant.
It is followed by various reports from the Secretary of the Treasury, Postmaster General, General Land Office, the Secretary of War, "Gen. Sheridan's Report", the report of the Secretary of the Navy, etc.
There is no indication as to what city, state, or newspaper this "Message Supplement" is from. Complete as a single sheet, nice condition.
