A Nazi newspaper from a British island...

Item # 683908

October 23, 1942

EVENING PRESS, Island of Guernsey (in the English Channel), Oct. 23, 1942

* Rare German occupation title
* World War II - WWII

very curious issue, as Guernsey, an English-speaking island, was occupied by the Germans during WWII so all the news was pro-Nazi.
Among the front page reports are: "R.A.F. Lose 73 Aircraft In Egypt" "Axis Planes Demonstrate Superiority in Two-Day Air Battle" " "Routine Life in Labour Camps - Love of Homeland Instilled in Young Workers" "Jungle Fighting Suits Japanese" and much more.
Four pages, nice condition.
