March 05, 1912

EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, March 5, 1912

* Robert Falcon Scott discovers South Pole ?
* Or was it Roald Amundsen ?
* Public announcement very close

Page 2 has a three column pictorial with heading: "London Expects News of Discovery Of South Pole at Almost Any Time" with subhead. (see) Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 14 pages, small library stamp within the masthead, irregular along the spine, generally nice.
