THE POST BOY, London, March 7, 1727  Among the back page reports is a brief item noting: "General Nicholson, late Governor of South Carolina, died on Tuesday about five in the afternoon, at his habitation on Old Bond Street."
Francis Nicholson was a notable figure in colonial America, having served as governor of  South Carolina, Nova Scotia, Virginia, Maryland, and the Dominion of New England.
A single sheet issue, 8 1/2 by 14 inches, two decorative engravings in the masthead, very nice condition.
