THE OGDEN JUNCTION, Utah, Sept. 9, 1873

* Rare old West publication
* Utah territory - nice masthead

The masthead includes prints of two trains coming together, signifying the celebration at nearby Promontory Point of the joining of the East and West Coast by railroad. This issue is from 23 years before Utah statehood.
The front page reports on: "A Fearful Land-Slide". Inside has: "Murder & Mystery" "Clever Capture" "The Election Frauds in Louisiana!" "A Man Shot in Jail!" and more.
Four pages, archivally rejoined at a portion of the spine, a lower corner missing affects 4 words in one article, never-trimmed margins, good condition.
