Much on the Civil War...

Item # 683105

March 12, 1863

DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER, Virginia, March 12, 1863

* Rare rebel publication

Among the many front page items on the war--from a Confederate perspective--are: "From Fredericksburg" "Rumors From the West" "The Yankees and Their Ditches" "The Yankee Army About Vicksburg" "Every Man to His Post" "Notes On the War--From Vicksburg--The Canal--The Designs of the Enemy" "The North and The South--A Parallel Between the Two Presidents--Which is the Representative Government of the Constitution" and other smaller items. A wealth of fine reading.
The back page has a lengthy editorial on the war which reflects, in part, upon the troubled Confederate currency. There is also lengthy reporting from: "The Confederate Congress" taking over 3 pages.
Complete as a folio-size, single sheet newspaper with a full banner masthead, in nice condition.
