June 09, 1854

NEW YORK DAILY TRIBUNE, June 9, 1854  Page 6 has a lengthy report headed: "The Exploits in the Baltic & Black Seas--Anglo-French System of Operations" which is written by Karl Marx and is appropriately signed in block type: Karl Marx.
Karl Marx was the communist revolutionary who would become more famous after his death than during his lifetime. He spent most of his life in exile, part of which was in London where he joined the Communist League. His income while in London was supplemented by weekly articles for the New York Tribune, writing as a foreign correspondent.
Eight pages, bit close-trimmed at the spine margins, nice condition.
