This was also the season that Mickey Mantle & Roger Maris were chasing Babe Ruth's home run record (Maris would beat it in the final game of the season).
Interesting also that a full page Camel Cigarette ad has the endorsement of a few Yankee players including Roger Maris, Yogi Berra & Whitey Ford. (see)
