Rare mention of John Paul Jones...

 Page 3 has a report with rare mention of John Paul Jones: "...letters were received from New York...when every thing remained quiet...It is said  to be the squadron under Paul Jones, which sailed from Boston in August last, and not three French frigates, which surprised and plundered the forests in Hudson's Bay. After dismantling the forts & trading away ever valuable moveable, Jones left part of the troops on Digge's Island...".
Also mention that from New York, a ship's officers were killed by some Blacks that were on board.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, stain to an upper corner, good condition.
