Death of Vice-Presdent George Clinton... Statehood of Louisiana...

THE WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, April 25, 1812  Inside has a report headed: "George Clinton -- Dead !" which includes: "... It is with feeling of unmixed veneration for the character of the revolutionary hero, the patriot and statesman, combined in one, that we announce that the venerable GEORGE CLINTON IS NO MORE. He expired about 9 o'clock yesterday morning, at his lodgings in this city, after an illness of about four weeks continuance..." with more, plus details on the funeral.
The back page has: "STATE OF LOUISIANA !" with information as to the boundaries, constitution, the legislature, governor and congress of this new state that would join the Union on April 30.
Sixteen pages, 6 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches, bit of foxing, nice condition.

As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
