The photo is headed: "Succumbs at 38" and the article is headed: "Rare Malady Proves Fatal to Lou Gehrig" "Great First Baseman Critically Ill 3 Weeks".
The coverage on the sports page is even better, with a banner headline: "Gehrig Goes Down in Books as One of Baseball's Greatest Stars" with a few subheads. Include as well are four photos of him. This report carries over to yet another page.
