May 08, 1915
NEW YORK HERALD, May 8, 1915 A quite nice and displayable issue as the front page (of part II) is very graphic. The three line banner headline announces: "THE LUSITANIA IS SUNK; 1,412 ARE DEAD, 658 SAVED; A. G. VANDERBILT MISSING".
Plus the front page shows the: "Last Picture of the Lusitania Taken as She Left New York Harbor" plus a map showing there it sunk, and photos of Alfred G. Vanderbilt, Captain William Turner of the Lusitania, Elbert Hubbard, Charles Frohman and two others. Several related subheads as well.
This the complete Part II with ten pages, various chipping at the margins but fortunately not causing any text loss. Various margin tears and very fragile so it must be handled carefully.
