The article provides significant details regarding a segment of the trip to California, and includes: "The Route from Fayetteville to Fort Smith -- Difficulties of the Ozark Range -- Magnificence of the Mountain Scenery -- The Choctaw Reservation -- Condition of the Negroes Among the Indian Slaveholders... Complete in 8 pages, a small stain in the upper right margin, typical small margin edge-tears, but otherwise good.
