1909 Tragic Week (Spain)...

Item # 677966

July 29, 1909

EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, July 29, 1909

* Tragic Week (Spain)
* Spanish Army - Anarchists
* Socialists - Republicans

The front page has a banner headline: "3000...KILLED" with subheads and related pictorial. (see) Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 8 pages, two small library stamps within the masthead, some small binding holes along the spine, small archival mend at the top left corner, generally very nice.

wikipedia notes: Tragic Week was a series of violent confrontations between the Spanish army and anarchists, socialists and republicans of Barcelona and other cities in Catalonia, Spain, during the last week of July 1909.
