SPORT'S SECTION ONLY of the New York Times, March 20, 1966
* Texas Western Miners - now UTEP
* First all-black team to win National Title
* NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament
The front page of this section has a nice banner headline: "TEXAS WESTERN UPSETS KENTUCKY FOR N.C.A.A. TITLE" with subheads. (see) Nice for display. First report coverage continues on page 3 with lineups. The Texas Western Miners (UTEP) became the very first all-black startling lineup team to wing the Division I men's basketball national championship.
Complete sport's section only with all 22 pages, a little spine wear, generally very nice.
