Near the top of the front page is a brief report on: "The Slave Trade" followed by a report: "Commodore Spaulding's Arrest of Walker".
This latter item concerns the infamous General William Walker, who organized several private military expeditions into Mexico and Central America with the intention of establishing English-speaking colonies under his personal control.
The back page has more on him with 1 1/2 columns headed: "The Walker Filibusters" "The Southern Emigration Movement to Nicaragua--Its Supposed Object..." with more.
Eight pages, printing crease to the ftpg. causes no text loss, good condition.
