THE FREEMAN'S JOURNAL OR NORTH AMERICAN INTELLIGENCER, Philadelphia, Sept. 11, 1782  Most of the front page is taken up with a list of the British ships lost, taken or destroyed during the Revolutionary War, listed by year.
Inside pages have various reports on the closing events of the Revolutionary War, including a defense by a person wrongly accused of: "...an abandonment of the cease of y country, and desertion to the enemy...".
Other reports include the return of American soldiers held in prison, the continuing evacuation of the British fro the colonies; a note that: "...from General Greene's head quarters near Charlestown [Charleston]...confirmation of the agreeable & important news of the certainty of a speedy evacuation of that place...We expect to take possession of Charleston by the first of October..." with more. Also a report concerning the Loyalists, plus other items as seen in the photos.
The back page has a poem: "To the Foe to Tyrants on his Farewell".
Four pages, handsome masthead, minor archival mend at the top of the spine, great condition.
