A Nazi newspaper from a British island...
Item # 676704
May 20, 1944
THE STAR, Island of Guernsey (in the English Channel), May 20, 1944
* Rare German occupation publication
* World War II - WWII - pre D-Day
A very curious issue, as Guernsey, an English-speaking island, was occupied by the Germans during WWII so all the news was pro-Nazi.
Among the front page reports are: "Anglo-Americans have Lost Another 31,000 Airmen" "4318 Planes this Year's Toll of Terror Tactics" "Soviet Railway Centers & Rolling Stock Smashed Up" and more.
Four pages, 12 by 12 1/2 inches, very nice condition.
