February 11, 1933

CHICAGO DAILY TRIBUNE, February 11, 1933

* Early Adolph Hitler
* 1st speech as Chancellor

The top of page 13 has a one column heading: "HITLER PROMISES TO PUT GERMANY BACK UPON FEET" with subhead. (see) This was Adolph Hitler's very 1st public speech after he was appointed chancellor of Germany. Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication.
Other news, sports and advertisements of the day. Complete in 30 pages, this is the rare rag edition that was produced on very high quality newsprint, with a high percentage of cotton & linen content, allowing the issues to remain very white & sturdy into the present. Given the subscription cost, libraries & institutions rather than individuals were the primary subscribers of these high-quality editions. Very nice condition as such. A few small binding holes along the spine.
