BOSTON PATRIOT, Dec. 15, 1813  The front page has nearly a column taken up with: "Read What Follows!" "Extract of a letter from Capt. M'Donnough...Accompanying this is the voluntary statement of Abraham Walters, who was pilot of one of the sloops taken last summer. He made his escape from Quebec & after a severe journey of ten days, reported himself to me yesterday."
This is the: "Affidavit of Abraham Walter, Pilot of the U.S. Sloop Growler on Lake Champlain" with much detail on his capture and later escape.
Inside has: "Frigate Congress Arrived" "Events of the War" which includes a letter from Commodore Rodgers to the Sec. of the Navy from on board the frigate President; "A Glace at the Boston Rebel in his 'Road to Ruin' ""British Captures" and a bit more.
Four pages, some foxing, good condition.
