December 06, 1862

DAILY MISSISSIPPIAN, Jackson, Dec. 6, 1862  Certainly one of the more rare Confederate titles we have offered.
Among the articles on the front page: "The Way to Peace" "Aid to Gen. Price's Army--Handsome Acknowledgements" "Frightful Wickedness" "Resisting the Draft" "Gallant Little Affair at Bolivar Point" "Letter from Grenada" "The Battle of Mumfordsville..." "More Indian Massacres" "Murder of Emigrants on Their Way to the Salmon River Mines".
The back page has a war report but due to a paper flaw the left side has loss of text.
Complete as a single sheet, a printing crease at the top, a one column masthead, bit of foxing, and the flaw as noted above.
