The bottom of the front page has a photo of the doomed USS Yorktown with small heading: "Yorktown Lost" The report begins on page 3 with another related photo. The article is to continues on page 23 which is not present. But what is great is a double page pictorial with the headline: "The U.S.S. Yorktown Dies in Battle" (see) Nice for display here. This sinking actually happened a few months earlier but this was when it was 1st made public making it still a first report.
Incomplete issue containing 12 of the 80 pages, a little light staining, a few tiny margin tears.
Note: It's very uncommon to find these famous tabloid publications from this era.
