* Very early pre-Civil War baseball
A nice sports-themed newspaper from before the Civil War, which has nearly half a column of various reports under the heading: "Base Ball". There are reports on 5 baseball games with commentary which would seem odd today. One item notes: "The Baltic boys confess this to be a bad beat; but as they intend to try their hand once more this season, we hope they will be able to mend their batting and their fielding...".
Sixteen pages, 11 by 16 inches, nice condition.
