The report begins: "Cheering Prospects" I have the satisfaction of announcing the expected restoration of this place to a tolerable condition of decorum. Col. Davis has been done for. His reign is ended. His occupation's gone...".
Among other subheads is: "Brown's Execution" noting it is scheduled for December 2. Also: "What Became of Their Bodies?". Plus a great wealth of information on the John Brown raid at Harper's Ferry, carrying over to another column.
