September 27, 1726
THE EDINBURGH EVENING COURANT, Scotland, Sept. 27, 1726 See the photo for one of the more beautiful, displayable mastheads of the 18th century, featuring two woodblock engravings, one showing postboys on horseback trumpeting the news, and the other showing a winged angel trumpeting the news.
Additionally, the first letter in the first column is within yet another very decorative engraving, all making the front page quite displayable.
This four page newspaper contains various news of the day. Measures 7 34 by 9 1/2 inches, partial red tax stamp on the front page, in very nice condition.
